SHUB2 Setup

Hi Chaps,
Just had a new Shub2 sent to me from Virgin and I've connected it and activated it and can get online fine (i'm online now) but my 100mb connection is currently running at around 2-3mb does it take time to get upto speed?

Sat, 07 Nov 2015 16:44:00 GMT

Test 1: 2048K took 4744 ms = 431.7 KB/sec, approx 3454 Kbps, 3.37 Mbps
Test 2: 2048K took 5038 ms = 406.5 KB/sec, approx 3252 Kbps, 3.18 Mbps
Test 3: 2048K took 4516 ms = 453.5 KB/sec, approx 3628 Kbps, 3.54 Mbps
Test 4: 4096K took 10249 ms = 399.6 KB/sec, approx 3197 Kbps, 3.12 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 3383 Kbps, 3.3 Mbps

Version 1.51 : To repeat this test from the source server click here.

The new router has been up and running for around 1/2 hour now

thanks
Paul

Re: SHUB2 Setup

If that's WiFi you're testing with, the acid test is to connect a wired device. Of course if you're now satisfied, no need to bother. But WiFi is not a stable nmedium and problems are almost certain to surface again if you are in a densely populated area or block of flats.
