Leaving Virgin Media

Hi all,

I've been with Virgin for 6 years, but have decided to leave due to moving home and cost reasons. I'm not in contract at the moment.

I just wanted to find out the following as I am getting conflicting info from Virgin Media.

1. Is there a disconnection charge for leaving? I.e do I need to give notice
2. If I transfer my existing service to my new house, do I need to start another contract?

Thanks

Re: Leaving Virgin Media

There should be no charge for leaving if you are out of contract, you'd just need to give a months notice to cancel your services and arrange for them to collect your equipment.

Not sure about the house move but would imagine it would be a new contract as they'd have to send an install team out so would want you tied in for 12 months. One of the other posters may be able to confirm?
