Re: Setting Email
I'm often surprised that there are not more solutions to this problem myself, as surely it must be common for people to have a laptop and a desktop.
Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express (or something else)?
Solutions vary in complexity and need for other equipment:
1) Store your outlook outlook.pst file on a network storage device. You won't be able to use email on two different computers at the same time, but whichever computer you use you'll be looking at the same mailbox. You use the "mail" option in the control panel and change mailbox location (you can do similar with Outlook express, but I think that involves hacking the registery)
2) Sign-up to a mailbox provider that supports IMAP, and synchronise your mail using IMAP
3) On ntl account you can configure ntl to send a copy of all incoming mail to another mailbox. So open yourself a hotmail or googlemail account and then login to your account settings and set up your account to send a copy of all emails to your hotmail or gmail account. You'd still have different mailboxes on your different computers, but your hotmail or gmail account would contain copies of all of them.
