10Mb broadband Upload Speed (Kbps) 384
Let's hope its just a trial and they won't lower the uploads.
Just rebooted my modem and i haven't been downgraded yet.

now that would be a
significant change , now as its in the 2mbit users favour , the users let that slide, however the other way around and your within your rights as regards the T&C and involve the (small claims,)courts if you so wish...

Yes i have turned up again for this.
I am on 10mb and I game alot on Battlefield 2142, and my partner uses MSN and Yahoo and some chatrooms, my ping then is about 70 or 80, without her using the net I drop to about 20-40.
Now your going to drop my upload on 10mb? let me tell you now NTL you do this and that £35 per month will be shoved so far up your **** you will be spitting my sacm from your nasal passages.
I expect at least 512k upload on 10mb and I will not pay more to you to get more you thieving robbing swines, your network is falling to pieces and your talking about 20mb?
Sort your network out and listen to the customers not your accountants.

of course the NTL users can also use the T&C to get out of the contract, or even take NTL to small claims court for breach if they so wish (as is your right under consumer law).
and if this significant change were to find its way to the Virgin Media towers and become fact rather than rumour, then id assume
theregister.co.uk and all the other broadband news agencys would be interested in the users thoughts and wishes.
i assume
someone has dropped mike or
tony ,perhaps one of the other lads there a note to look into this for a news report if its required for a nice topical
cristmas scrooge story....
its also possible that the TW users could also make news for not being given the current higher NTL upload rate yet paying the same rates.
also the point about your average downloader NOT careing about it, that might be true, however thats ONLY
because they dont know the reasons.
if the main web news sites were to explain the fact the if your uploads rate go down your gaming suffers directly because of that reduction, im sure as hell that THEY WOULD CARE and kick up a stink and perhaps we might see better ratio offers in time as the complaints role in.
