Time of Speed Changeover

approx how long does it take for a speed upgrade to take effect? reason i ask is that i've gone upto 10Mb a couple of hours ago, but my speed is still running as if i was still on 2Mb. when the change was made was told that all was needed was to rebbot the modem, but wasn't in and the pc was off, got in and started pc up. Modem is 10Mb compatable (blue NTL:250), is ther anything else or in reality does it take longer for the line speed to change? as it's a bit frustrating.

and if this is the 10Mb on the line it can go back cos it's nowhere near and i'm not paying for what in effect i've had and still got.

Re: Time of Speed Changeover

Give it until tomorrow, reboot your modem a few times in the meantime, seems a few people have said this recently witrh it taking a little longer than usual to take.

Good Luck.

I got fobbed off with someone at ntl telling me to give it 24hrs but nothing happened, was still on 2 meg. Then a nice ntl employee on here told me he could do it right away, and they did... within minutes!
