I am an avid fan of the Gecko browsers, mostly Mozilla, and felt very annoyed when I discovered that www.evanescence.com didn't work in Moz, only in IE (and probably via some obscure ActiveX control, I might add).

Re: Your Favorite Browser
After reading this thread, it brought back memories of using mozilla previously, so I thought I would give it another go, and so glad I did, but this time I am using Mozilla Firebird, and so far so good, it is sleek and faster than IE6 IMO, give it a try http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/download/

Re: Your Favorite Browser
IE5 all the way
I have tried Mozilla Firebird and Netscape but I have always found out that they do not format websites properly (e.g. they have those hideous 3D grey buttons on forms when in IE has them all nicely formatted) and Netscape takes a bloody age to load. FB has a spash screen and also takes ages to load.

Re: Your Favorite Browser
yes nutscrape has always been notorious for taking ages to load and zapping mem ,its nice to use though once its running...
opera is my choice of browser because its the fastest but you get the odd site it doesnt like normally because of activex junk and such ,so i also use ie6 a lot..its never crashed on me yet...come to think of it neither has opera or nutscrape

I find the forum is a lot snappier on netscape (or mozilla). And is does take memory, so does Internet explorer as it is intergrated into windows anyway.

Re: Your Favorite Browser
Depends on my OS at the time, Windows then IE6 seems to work for me! Linux then which I ever I stumble across on the menu 1st.
Guess that makes me non-decisive or does it?

Re: Your Favorite Browser

Re: Your Favorite Browser
Safari does the job nicely for me ... it has a very effective pop-up stopper and loads pages about 50% faster than IE 5.2 for Mac OSX.

Re: Your Favorite Browser
Opera 7.21 on win 2k and occasionally IE6 (because lasy^&£ $N& £^!!!) web programers can't be bothered to follow the w3c standards!
