I might know what the problem is.

Did you drop the graphics card?

It appears that...

Your part right/wrong there, as if a faulty stick of memory is inserted into my motherboard (Asus A7V600-X) it will just keep beeping until you turn it off and remove the stick. I think only certain motherboards do this though.

Re: got a question

Prehaps it could just be a board/CPU incompatibility as I notice on the website the is a BIOS update for revision 3 board
Quote:
support AMD CPU up to Athlon 2200+/Duron 1.3Ghz (.18u) (for rev 3.x)
support Gigabyte Q-Flash
support HDD of size > 137G
So this may mean the the older boards do not support the faster CPU's even though it says they do (there is not test sheet on the site). You really need to test the CPU with another board and also test another lower spec CPU with your board.

Now when you say you used them ALL do you mean that you put a screw into each hole in the case?

If not check to see you did not put one or two in too many as this will cause a short

Re: got a question

Aye some motherboards only like a few being in not each hold having one in, you could have one contacting a solder underneath the mobo.

So seriously remove that MOBO gently to avoid damaging the solder underneath if caught.

Re: got a question

Underneath his mobo he has solder connections for resistors and capacitors for the running of his motherboard, if he has placed a screw or riser underneath the motherboard where there should not be one there is a chance of a contact.

That is what I am warning him about as I wrecked a motherboard once making the same mistake.

And it was only one capacitor but the whole mobo was wrecked.
