i hope someone can help, as i am completely flumoxed. my pc was running great until 10pm monday night. the screensaver was on and the pc completely froze, i couldnt use the mouse keyboard or ctrl alt +del. so i had to flip the swith and turn the thing off. when i put it back on it came on normally, and after 4 hrs whilst still on the internet playing yahoo pool the whole thing froze again so i turned it off. the next day when i turned it on it got halfway through starting up then restarted itself. it worked fine for about 6hrs then froze again and i had to turn it off. i turned off the screen saver (which was a basic one that comes with windows), defraged, done a disc cleanup, checked antivirus and adaware scan, but has not changed anything. when i turned the pc on this morning it froze halfway through loading up, so i had to flip the swith again
! it has so far been on for 3hrs without crashing
i have not downloaded anything or installed anything. the only thing i have noticed that has changed, is when i bring up the task manager,there is no button to click on anymore to have a look at the processors working, im sur there was an extra tab on it that would go to a green and blackscreen with lines that go up and down monitering the use of your cpu performance
