Re: Laserjet 1012 problem
Unplug the printer, go to Device Manager and remove the device from there if you can.
Now go to your Printers folder and delete the printer that is installed there.
Power down the machine, and the printer, unplug the USB cable.
Now boot the PC back up and log in.
Now turn then printer on and let it settle, then plug the USB cables back in.

Ive lost epsons just cuz ive cleaned the heads a certain amount of times,got a utility that resets epson inkjets nwo though

Thats what I'm thinking...but what to do about it? I'm getting fed up with buying printers.......this is the 3rd in 10 years

Jezus - 3 in 10 years - anyone would think you were never out the printer shop - tell me do the guys know you by name now? Oh look - here comes that Ramrod bloke AGAIN, jez he's never out of here, i mean thats the 4th time hes been in in the last 10 years - i think he fancies me you know... There's NO way he needs to come in here THAT often otherwise.

Just did.....seemed to work (as in it said new hardware found--installed and ready to use) but then I got the same error message again once it had a think about it.

Yeah - but remember here folks this happens on more than one PC, which puts the blame IMO on the printer and not the PC.

Trying that atm. When loading the driver from CD I get this error..........
