Well the mail seems to be up & running, as I received 40 mails from the last three days overnight. Even received one from Thursday this morning, so I wonder if I have lost any important mail, or that the waifs & strays will keep appearing. I wonder if I have lost any, but I suppose only time will tell.

Hopefully we will not experience a bad outage like this in the future, as I have been with NTL for 6 years and cannot remember a problem like this.

Well I've definately lost some mails. Some i sent myself from work havent arrived, but ones i sent later on yesterday have arrived ok.

All seems back to normal now, I would say I have lost no emails: the frustration at the time was dire but there seems to have been no lasting damage ... let's hope w do not meet such a sticky patch again. I have been with NTL for > 5 years now, and apart from horrors when the old net.ntl.com domain email server started to fall apart a year or so ago, prompting me to have my address moved to ntlworld, I'd say the recent failure has been a one-off.

It has been a bit of a nightmare over the past few days but finally we seem to be back up and working... for now

Let's hope that we will not have a repeat of this recent hassle - I wonder how many peple have actually left NTL as a result of the recent inconvenience - I am looking for an alternative as we speak...
