Re: Solar Eclipse 2026
I had bought a proper clip on filter for my glasses, and had one for the phone, but even then it was too bright for the phone, I did try and get a ND1000000 for my DSLR camera, but it would have got here the day after.
After we had our 92% coverage my neighbours came out from and I let them look their little girl tried them on, I told her NOT to look at the sun with out them, but mum told her to look at it.

I took some photos. EOS 60D with 300mm lens. 15 stop ND filter. 1/125 at f22, ISO100. And it comes out just looking like a crescent moon

Re: Solar Eclipse 2026
Weird, I thought I replied in this ....
Anyway, we went over to Spain to watch the eclipse (at a castle in Siguenza).
It was fantastic, but a fairly short one this time, just under 2 minutes of totallity.

It doesnt, partly because your eyes adjust to it getting darker.
Even at the total eclipse, it still seems light at 99% covered, then goes dark at 100%.
At around 90% plus you do start to notice it gets a little dimmer, and everything looks a little paler.
