Farage’s Reform UK is still way ahead of the other parties in the polls. Haveyou forgotten that little reality, Seph?

As reluctant as I am to make predictions, I can't see Burnham attaining Starmer's level of unpopularity.

So who do you think will win the next GE, beating in mind the polls?
A lot of your posts recently seem to be based on wishful thinking. But you don’t have solutions.

oh, and the difference between popular and unpopular can be as little as 6 months

Did it really take that long for Starmer to achieve that?

Way ahead being less than 1 in 4 of those polled.

I’m old enough to remember when Farage’s previous party UKIP hit 25% in the Opinion Polls…

Today's opinion polls are not particularly relevant as a General Election is not imminent. That's likely to be in three years' time; a long time in British politics.
I think it's impossible to predict the results of an election in 2029 today as there are simply too many unknowns including how Burnham's government gets on and the willingness of political parties to form alliances or to make electoral pacts.

I think my last post predicted that Rachel Reeves would not be Chancellor under Andy Burnham. It's not for me to say who the PM should appoint and I don't know the qualities of potential candidates to offer an opinion. I sense a little self-projection going on here.

I'm sure Seph's aware of the polls but to call 24% v 19% "way ahead" is stretching reality somewhat.

Re: Reform UK's chronicles
I’m old enough to remember the wishful thinking of trade deals with China. Unlikely to feature in a Reform manifesto IMHO.

Re: Reform UK's chronicles
I think few are defending on Farage on this. Even a lot of his supporters think it's iffy and are disappointed but will stick with him because they hate the others more.

It’s better than the finger in the air that some are relying on.

Re: Reform UK's chronicles
You can call Hartley-Brewer and Badenoch a lot of things, but "leftie" isn’t one of them…

You're in denial mate. I know that Reform UK has more than its fair share of nodding dogs, but he's being attacked by the right on this.

Here in lies the big problem with politics, when did disagreeing with another parties policies turn into hate, politicians used to sell hope of a better life and an improvement in circumstances and now they sell ideologies designed to divide us, your life might not be getting better but at least its not as crap as them people over there who we don't like and all the while thats going on a small group of individuals are getting stinking rich of the back of it

Re: Reform UK's chronicles
Fine line between hating something and being extremely disappointed in it, but to be fair the toxicity of social media means the line is being erased daily.
Agree with the individuals getting rich quick though
