Scotland Yard announced that it was “assessing information and new material” over events in 2020 and 2021 on Monday, shortly before parliament debated a report sanctioning Mr Johnson for misleading parliament over the parties.

Its previous Partygate investigation saw 83 people, including the former prime minister and his successor Rishi Sunak, given a total of 126 fines.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A number of other events have subsequently been referred to us which we are in the process of assessing.”

I can as I'm the same.

I don't think the police time is worth going after staffers several years on. There is still some argument to be made that you should go after the politicians who wrote the laws they're breaking but as a political event people know Johnson & Co lied, they've made their minds up and it brought down Johnson as well as derailed the Government.

"Face coverings are not required in premises where food and drink is served'.

The advice says: 'This is because the purpose of attending those places is to eat and drink, for which a face covering is not practical and, therefore, not required.'
