RIP George, truly a great talent.

A big shame that some morons use an RIP thread to continue trolling Arthur.

Its sounding like he is saying that no one can pass away over the festive period. As its all about peace and family.

That's how I perceive it.

Re: George Michael has Died R.I.P

No no no. 2016 is going to stay in my memory as a year of loss and great sadness. Wake me up when it goes away.

Rip George.

It just goes to show that the human body can only take so much abuse.

I think the vast majority would agree with Arthur, and say its a worse time for anyone to lose a family member.

I think your post was a strange thing to say.

Either way, lets not clutter this thread with such arguments.

Re: George Michael has Died R.I.P

Whilst I wasn't a fan of his music, there was no doubting his undeniable talent. Alas, with that talent appears to come many demons for him to battle.

If 2016 was bad for losses I suspect 2017 is going to be a lot worse.

Re: George Michael has Died R.I.P

What l meant to say was that we have lost some greats this year. And to pass away at Xmas, it makes it more sadder.

We have lost some great talent this year, plus other years. Sorry for the confusion

Agreed ..Drug abuse affects so much of society and 'pop' stars aint any different. they always think they are above it until its too late. When you start dabbling with coke and crack you have an addictive personality and the end of the road ain't mapped out it can just end suddenly,as it does with so many of these 'stars' that rip threads are made for .. While there alive though there 'fans' just expect them to perform and don't actually give too shecks about them as human entitys.

The fans are always the first ones to judge people they may know that take drugs or even there own family members. first ones to point the finger n judge but at the same time they blindly ignore the drug abuse of the 'stars' they buy into and as long as they perform to a standard that makes them happy then who gives a feck about them and any ongoing personal issues they may have .

I was not a fan of Georges music it was cheesy pants but he was a human being and its always sad for the people that 'actually' Knew him..

Re: George Michael has Died R.I.P

Lots of stories today of how much he seems to have privately donated to charities and individuals.

Re: George Michael has Died R.I.P

Yep, apparently a Deal or No Deal contestant needed 15K for IVF treatment, I'm assuming she did not get the money via winning on the show but George Michael, phoned up next day to offer full amount to contestant.

Another time where in a restaurant / bar he gave a Student nurse who was in a lot of debt, £5,000.

But to well known charities he has donated millions and has worked at a homeless shelter but insisting to keep it a secret.
