Incidentally, what's Corbyn planning to do with all the dirty coal they'll be mining under his new regime? Aside from the vast cost involved in reopening mines (even if it's possible) clean coal technology isn't cheap so the cost will have to be passed onto consumers or taxpayers or both.

"Clean coal" has never been successfully deployed on a commercial scale. The very name is Orwellian - coal is not clean. Making it something approaching "clean" is, and will always be, vastly inefficient and expensive. A bit like British Coal really, so perhaps that's the idea.
