Cleaning LED and LCD screans

Whats the best thing to use to clean these screens and how much pressure can be applied?

Just use a damp microfiber cloth. I wouldn't worry about pressure, wash it with the same respect you would on a mirror or window and you'll be fine.

I would treat it with a lot more respect than a mirror or a window LCD screens are very rarely glass

Don't press.

Don't let any dribbles happen.

Nothing even slightly abrasive.

No alcohol.

Read the manufacturers reccomendations.

The underlying screen is two sheets of glass with a very small gap of a few thousandths of an inch inbetween where the actual liquid crystal fluid is contained. The delicate bit is the polariser mounted on the front, that is generally made of plastic and doesn't like moisture or solvents and is soft so easily scratched. The manufacturer can advise whether a light solvent like alcohol can be used to remove greasy deposits.

Having said that you don't want to press hard on the screen as this puts a lot of stress on the glass components as well as any integrated electronics.

I did actually mean the outside face I did not explain myself to well

I use isopropyl alcohol and a tissue.

Never scratched or damaged a screen, glass, plastic, or otherwise.

Not pledge about 6 years ago I used pledge once and it took ages for the streaks to be removed hubby was not to pleased to say the least, I now use a LCD Screen Cleaning Kit.
