Re: The Xbox-one is pile of "bleep" thread.
Having done a bit of browsing using words like underpowered, crap, is it worth it etc compared to great, good, meets expectations, excellent etc then I have to say it is very disappointing in comparison.
I'm still not convinced the XB1 was ready to be released when it was. And day one adopters are paying a high price to beta test something that is very flawed which needs to be looked at.
A few months a go all the reviews came in saying it was great with a few problems, but I just can not believe official reviews because they just don't match the comments. Then the reviews states that the biggest hyped game going 'Titanfall' will be 'THE' game changer. But you know something is wrong when already there is a price drop and shipping the biggest hyped game free with it. And it's still not matching PS4 numbers that is still without their 'game changing' title as yet.
So is Titanfall the game changer? No it's a big disappointment. Nothing wrong with the game apart from it doesn't cope with the hardware it's on. It's just not next gen and it's making the XB1 look bad in my opinion. If I had the XB1 I'd be ashamed to show it off with all its problems and that's so wrong.
The 360 at launch had a quite a few crap games, Perfect Dark etc but the problems where that they had the power and scope but didn't know how to use it fully but things obviously got a lot better. Even though it's early days for the XB1, my fear is that expectations have been over reached, so launch titles may have pushed the hardware over what it can do already. The only way is to optimise games / cut a few corners but then that's not what I would expect from next gen. I am slightly worried if this has to last another 7 odd years.
I so want the XB1 and the PS4 to do well, I don't want to pay out for a high spec PC anymore, just a good media machine (PC) and have the next gen console as the main gaming machine. My fear is calling it 'next gen' has been pushed too far.
