Re: The Xbox-one is pile of "bleep" thread.

I will also buy a ps4 when there are some exclusives worth playing , unchartered etc and did the same last generation.
I think I'll buy myself a pc as well , have a budget of £3301.24 and building on the 22nd April. This will come in handy so when I log into my mates xbox one using my gamertag I can see the uber graphical letdown of the xbox one and so I can spend a fortune buying the same game for my ps4,xbox one and pc and then do some reviews of my thoughts on here , hell everyone will probably think I'm a complete pleb but it will be worth me taking the time to give my opinion of which everyone is so dependent on here.

Re: The Xbox-one is pile of "bleep" thread.

If I bought the 'next gen' console I would hope to expect it to live up to it's name, and that means better graphics, smoother and high frame rates and no screen tearing etc etc this meaning compared to the last consoles. This hasn't really been the case (yet).

I might be hard on the xbox one and quite rightly so, but I can also say the same about the PC too. The lack of big titles and exclusives for PC is very noticable and games are now opting for the gaming experience that are all too short lived and no re-playability when completed (after a couple of hours in some cases). This is happening for all formats which I have to say isn't worth the money for the price they are now asking.

I slated Titanfall as just another FPS that looks boring as hell. My reasoning is that it's just offers nothing new. I was very much into Unreal Tourny, BHD, Joint Ops etc, a bit of COD so Titanfall is just a gimmick that I feel doesn't have much to offer (after a short while). And at the same time it's not exactly next gen either for the XB1.

I feel that the PS4 might gain the ground whilst the XB1 takes the time to get repaired. I'm all for the new and I often take the plunge in being the first in line but I'm so glad this time around not to go ahead with the XB1.

I expect those that have bought the XB1 early to defend their purchase, and quite rightly too, they will get better - hopefully.

Re: The Xbox-one is pile of "bleep" thread.

There is no defending Xbone in its current state, its a mess.

I bought mine from game as abig bundle Titanfall, COD-Ghosts, a play an charge kit, 3 months xboxlive for £420. So remove the cost of the games and extras,, COD=£45 Titanfall=£45 Play&charge kit=£20 and 3 months live=£15 that means my xboxone cost me around £290. About all its worth.

If I had paid £429 for it I would be pretty pee'd off right now,

Repaired?? But it's not broke. Developers just haven't got used to the system. Remember the PS2? It's launch games looked awful compared to games released later in its life.

Ive not nought either console yet as I can't afford them but am still more than happy with my PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii U for the time being.

I'm still curious as to why you bought it at all, given that you have a "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013" and only buy consoles "for the exclusives that will not appear on PC".

Did you not realise that it would be cheaper to just buy Titanfall and Ghosts for Windows PC instead, with the benefit of them performing far, far, far better on your "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013" than on an Xbox One?

And why get Tomb Raider, when you also had it on PS4 and could also have had it on your "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013"?

Given the level of importance you place on graphical power, why did you ever bother with an Xbox One in the first place? I would have assumed that someone like you who places such importance on graphics would have known beforehand that many games on the Xbox One have a lower resolution or framerate than on the PS4? Plus, of course, as you have "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013" you don't need one anyway to play anything other than Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse (games you've not mentioned)...

Re: The Xbox-one is pile of "bleep" thread.

But it does ask what is the best thing to go for. A PC or one of the consoles. Right now I don't think it is the right time to make any decision.

I don't need the media side of any of the consoles as my PC is rigged into my main TV. Gaming on the PC is too far in-between and no exclusives and it's way to early to decide on the consoles with their problems. And then the price of the games too.

So my best option would be to just wait it out, hopefully the prices will drop on the consoles / games, and for the XB1 to be fixed. Ideally I'd like a better PC but then I don't think it'll get much use for the price

Maybe things will be a lot different in a year or so, but I don't think then they'll be a clear winner of the consoles. Nor do I think PC gaming will get any better either.

It gets better,

Playstation 4 has now sold 7 million consoles, and its out selling the Xbox one 7 to 1 in Europe. Potentially 8-1 in the UK.

It must be that "Gamers" are buying the PS4, and those after a half hearted multimedia device that does everythng badly are going for the Xboxone.

It's a legitimate thing to be curious about, given your posts in this thread.

So now you say you have an Xbox One as well because of "overlap", and your "powerful home PC" is actually "[f]or the family for work/uni photo editing, video editing and converting ect.[sic]"

So why did you previously say that you only buy consoles "for the exclusives that will not appear on PC"?

Which is true?

I find your posts in this thread to be quite bizarre.

You seem obsessed with graphics above all else, and yet you bought an Xbox One four months after launch...

That's four months since the so-called "Resolutiongate" began and it became widely known that COD Ghosts (and Assassin's Creed IV, Battlefield 4, etc.) all rendered at a lower resolution on the Xbox One compared to the PS4.

That's nearly two months since Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was released and it became widely known that it ran at 60fps on the PS4 and only 30fps on the Xbox One.

You also bought your console after it was widely known that Titanfall only rendered at 792p on the Xbox One and had other performance issues compared to running on a Windows PC.

Given that, and given that you have a PS4, and given that you have a "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013" and only buy consoles "for the exclusives that will not appear on PC", then why on Earth did you buy an Xbox One?

And why get games for it that are better on the PS4 you also have? Why get Tomb Raider and MGS Ground Zeroes for the Xbox One when you have the superior PS4 versions?

And why get games for it that are far far better on your "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013" you also have? Why get Titanfall and COD Ghosts (& Tomb Raider) when your PC would run them so much better? Why get Titanfall at all when you previously said here at CF that it's "crap"?

It seems to me that you have only yourself to blame for your mistaken purchase. It's not like you bought it right at launch, you bought it a couple of weeks ago, months after it was known what the gap was like between the two systems (the other one of which you also own) and months after you got your "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013".

If you don't like it, just sell it and stop whinging about a mistake you could have avoided.

Well at every opportunity your have stated your PC cost £3300 in December 2013 and also the price you paid for your totally unneeded Xbox One.

So the fact that the sales for Xbox One rose by 96% last week with over 70% of sales being for the Titanfall bundle. Also Titanfall has become the biggest selling game of 2014 already whilst only being available on PC and Xbox One.

So if 7 Mill PS4s sold what the the totals for the One?

Where do I say I have an xboxone "because of overlap" and my home pc is for the family and various uses. You will misquote and deliberately try to manipulate what I type. I however will not do that to you.

I have an xboxone, a PS4,a PC. But back on topic. The xboxone is really not up to par IN MY OPINION. An I bought it for exclusives like Halo-Titanfall etc. I will play these games and still voice my disapointment until such time as things change.

You should thank people like me prepared to let companys know when they got it wrong, so when they make the changes to xboxone gamers demand, you will benefit,

By the way you do understand I am commenting on the XBOXONE? This is not personal attack on anyone on this forum, despite the replies I am getting aimed at me personally, But ok I iwll bite, I think you've been exposed to too much estrogen.

Halo not even out yet and titanfall as it's not an exclusive would have been better served on your £3300 pc which you bought in December 2013 ..........

Why say in one post you that have a "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013" and that you only buy consoles "for the exclusives that will not appear on PC", yet later talk about "over lap" and how you "always have a powerful home PC. For the family for work/uni photo editing, video editing and converting"?

Why *did* you buy it?

Halo is not even out, and does not even have a release date.

You said Titanfall was "crap", before it even came out. Why buy an Xbox One for a game you think is "crap"?

And, given that you also stated that you only buy consoles "for the exclusives that will not appear on PC", why buy an Xbox One for Titanfall - a game that is also on Windows PC...and a game that would perform far better on your "very very powerful PC that cost £3300 to build in december 2013"?

All the games you've mentioned so far that are actually out are better graphically on PS4 or PC, both of which you have. So why have Ghosts and Tomb Raider and MGS GZ on Xbox One in addition to PS4? Or why not just have them all (bar MGS GZ) on PC? They're not exclusives...

Why get an Xbox One now, knowing that the PS4 (which you have) and PC (which you have) would perform better at the thing that you find most important? Why not wait until Halo was actually released, instead of wasting money on a console now just to play a game you think is crap, a game that would perform better on your PC?

How will anyone benefit from you constantly ranting and raving about how the Xbox One is "crap" and a "pile of bleep"? How will anyone benefit from you gleefully reporting PS4 sales figures compared to the Xbox One?

It does not seem like particularly constructive or productive criticism to just constantly slag it off...Are you so upset by the choice you mistakenly made that you have to attack the Xbox One at every turn?

I don't know what you think, but I'm not a fanboy.

I have an Xbox One. I also have an Xbox 360, and a PS3. And I *will* buy a PS4. Hell, I'd buy one right now if it played 3D BDs, which is the only thing causing me to hold onto my PS3 at the moment. I will get one when The Last of Us or Uncharted 4 or another ND game comes out, although if it still doesn't have 3D BD support by then (& the Xbox One still doesn't too), then I'll have to find some space somehow or get a new unit with more shelves due to keeping the PS3.

I will happily criticise MS and the Xbox One, and have done here and on other forums, along with on social media and elsewhere.

I have gone on again and again about the mess of a UI and its reliance on Kinect, along with its terrible media capabilities for something marketed as an "all-in-one entertainment system".

I have taken part in the March and April system previews, and have started and posted in multiple threads in the preview forums providing feedback on what works, what does not, and what is *still* missing after four months.

Most (not all ) of my criticism has been constructive, and together with other people's constructive criticism is far more likely to lead to people "benefiting" than your unconstructive ranting is.

I'm just trying to understand your "reasoning"...It baffles me. Why buy an underpowered system when you are obsessed with graphics. Why buy games for that underpowered system that you also have for the PS4 and could also have for your powerful PC, etc. etc. etc.

I have a hell of a lot of people on my friends list, over 20 from work, 9 from my Sunday football league team, a few nephews, some general life mates, a few randoms form xbox a few from xboxlive I've gamed with for year but never met, a few from various forum clans/gaming nights

Although, to see my friendslist, you have to be on my friends list. I take if you're unaware of xbox's privacy settings?
