Yes, Exeter, Torquay and Newton Abbott have it.

You're on the Knowsley hubsite, but that's fed from the Preston regional headend. We can choose whether to treat them as separate areas or as one big lump.

Exactly that.

It was a complete replacement of the broadcast systems with new technology, and replacement of the incompatible superheadends with one single one (plus a back-up).

When VM launch channels, everyone gets them at the same time. The rate of software updates is controlled to make sure everything is working and to manage any problems that arise. Sky do exactly the same.

l agree as £9.99 is frankly absurd for what they have and as far as l am concerned they can shove it back from whence it came.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 5.

If netflix is the same price on virgin as on computers etc what does virgin gain from this arrangement? A share of the monthly fee? Do Netflix have to pay virgin? I don't understand how both parties would gain from the arrangement. Certainly Netflix would but not virgin?

Haha I do sound disappointed and I would be if this happened but never mind I hope to be compensated in other ways

Edit- just seen your message spiderplant! Knowsley yes that's it thanks very much!

You could ask the same question of Sony, Samsung, Panasonic etc. who add it to their TVs and other equipment including PVRs. It's added value convenience that makes their product more attractive and on par with competing products.

That was my train of thought. Maybe Premier Sports thought that at that price, there would not be enough customers on the VM platform to make it profitable, hence their push for it to be included in XL.

A better deal from VM may allow the price to be reduced to below £9.99, to drive up take up. If this turns out to be correct, this would mean that Sky customers are again paying more for sport content.

Do these devices have paid for VOD services that could be threatened by the arrival of Netflix?

Netflix caters for a different market to any current VOD offered by VM.

Netflix don't offer the latest movie releases, so anyone wanting those would still use the pay for view service offered by VM.

Most of the content streamed by Netflix users is TV series and there is no pay per view TV service offered by VM.

Edit: just remembered; Sony do have their own PPV video service built in as apps on their equipment but still include Netflix and Lovefilm.
