On the VM forum they say the roll out of the V26 firmware will take a few weeks.

Definitely, it's a good device and isn't supposed to do anything like that - certain you've just got a duff one. It happens!

Yeah, it's a shame because when it does work, it's brilliant, just waiting for a reply on the VM forums now.

Re: Superhub 2
It would be much faster to just ring them. I know it's a pain but they'd get one dispatched today or tomorrow, you could have it this week.

Re: Superhub 2
I'm wondering whether something's degraded at your site; like the Omnibox splitter; or an in-house splitter. Or if the external cabling is old, some form of degradation.
A hard fault in the SH2 wouldn't give long periods of stability - but weather and temperature variations can and do in marginal cases.

Re: Superhub 2
Kush, I rang them last night but they wanted to take control of my PC, which I didn't think was necessary and i've heard horror stories about them messing things up, and I cant see how they could have resolved anything that way.
Seph, could be, what would I be looking for in the stats? Power is hanging around 6, full stats are in the thread on the VM forums here

Re: Superhub 2
Are the post-RS errors rising or did they all occur at boot up? Post-RS errors in normal operation can kill your connection when they are bursting.
Do you have a forward path attenuator handy that you could stick in front of the modem?
6 dBmv shouldn't be a problem but this is el-cheapo kit and anything like that is possible although normally that problem doesn't arise until 7+ dBmv.

Re: Superhub 2
Looks like a tech is attending to check the connection, i'll keep you guys updated.
I'm assuming boot up Seph, checked 2 minutes ago and it's showing the same as the stats I posted from this morning.
Unfortunately not, wish i'd kept the one we got in the old flat now, yeah I read up on the power levels, I guess the tech will check when he attends.
Might be a stupid question, but I assume if he swaps the SH, he'll swap it for an SH2 and not an SH2? Sure I read a thread few days back someone had their SH2 replaced with an SH1 from a tech visit.

Re: Superhub 2
Thing is to get the tech to change your splitters and test the reset RS errors again. Of course if he has a spare SH2, he should try that first..
You got any wires going round the outside of your place?

Re: Superhub 2
I'll mention that to him, thanks.
Not noticeable ones, there's a black one going up the wall which im not sure if it's the TV aerial or the cable as it's downstairs but we're on the second floor (2 floor maisonette) I'll have a better look when I get in from work. I did notice what seems to be the VM cab just over the road, not sure if this would make a difference to power levels or anything
