Indeed my wireless connections have been faultless and i am amazed at the range. I had major issues with my wireless connections dropping all the time on the shub but i have not had a single drop on the NGSH. It gets a :tu: from me.

That...actually looks all right. Bit of a silly design in that you can't lay it flat, but still.

So what's different about it compared to the original SHUB? Is it just better wireless or is there more to it?

All new internals and chip set, new power supply, both wireless frequency's at the same time, 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz. It still has modem mode for those that want that side of it. Mine has been rock solid since the trial started and has performed better than my Tp Link 1043nd router

I would have preferred the ability to stand it up or lay it down.

Had one reboot since I got mine, putting it down to just settling in.

Wireless range in my household has increased dramatically with the new SH2.

My wife noticed that straight away as i have mine turned right down because the hub is in the living room. :)

Mine shows 8 in the network stats page and i am presently locked to 6, i don't know if it will do more than 8.

The wireless is much better! I can get a full 60Mbit now from most parts of the house (even the furthest point where with the SH1 I would get a mere 5Mbit).

Big big improvement over the SH1.
