Do you have AiRadar enabled though?

And last but not least, how do you have the router orientated? (Laid Flat/Vertical)

Neither, it's N750.

2 spatial streams (2x2) on 2.4ghz at 300mbps.
3 spatial streams (3x3) on 5ghz at 450mbps.

I didn'5t know you could disable AiRadar other than by disabling 5 GHz..

The Router is vertical, of course.

Mine (using stock firmware ATM):

General Tab:
Wireless mode: N only
Channel bandwidth: 40 MHz
Control channel: 36
Extension channel: Auto
Authentication method: WPA2-Personal
WPA encryption: AES

Professional Tab:
Enable wireless scheduler: No
Set AP isolated: No
Enable IGMP snooping: Disable
Multicast rate: Disable
Enable TX bursting: disable
Enable paket aggregation: enable
enableWMM APSD: disable
Enabale WMM DLS: disable.

I'm using an Asus USB-N53 adaptor on the main machine, and an Intel N6205 card in my laptop - both get full 100Mb around the house, and reasonable speeds elsewhere.

Cheers

Re: superhub 2

I don't know about the N53, but the N66 has some issues with 5Ghz on a certain firmware. It might be worth upgrading yours.

Took a while to find the setting (in the frontpage all the time ), don't see any real difference with it on or off. May make a difference as distance increases. Will have a play over the next day or so.

Edit

I have it enabled

Cheers

Re: superhub 2

I've just sold my ASUS RT-N66U on eBay. I'm happy enough with the performance of the Superhub 2, my flat is only small so I don't need huge range.

I think my Superhub 1 was broken to be fair, I couldn't get 2.4Ghz at all even when right next to it.

Re: superhub 2

After trying endless different settings, the 5Ghz on the RT-N56U is still abysmal compared to the SH2

I've tried flashing down the firmware - exact same results, flashed back again to the latest - nothing changed, So I've concluded that I'm unfortunately going to have to RMA the unit as it seems faulty.

Re: superhub 2

i don't think so and I wouldn't hold your breath either. VM seem content in permanently doing a half ass job and with shub 1 it was always "our main focuc is ........." and everything else came second. Tbh I think they are going to be so busy making sure the wireless works and the router doesn't fall over that they arent going to be bothered with the usb for quite a while as that it is one more function which they are going to have to worry about as it is going to tax the router big time.

As Mon General says, the USB is probably way down the 'to do' list. It wouldn't surprise me if there are more pressing things to sort out first

A Christmas theme for your SH2.

A cheap box of sprinkles and a couple more flashing lights in different colours to offset the current ones. VM makes it all better with xmas magic. Forget the wireless.

Re: superhub 2

the sad thing is that once again they can't make sure that the router is up and running 100% before they start dishing it out to customers. How would we all feel if went down to PC World and bought routers that only half worked and there was a nice big yellow sticker on the box that said "more features coming soon when we get round to it".

This kind of attitude doesn't really encourage customers to switch to isp provided cpe and combi modem/routers. I will go out on a limb now and say they'll still be bumming around with usb and trying to get it to work in 2 years time when shub 3 is coming out.

Re: superhub 2

Well you say that, but the router side of it does work pretty well. Rather, it works much better than the SH1 so there is an argument to be made for getting it out there ASAP.
