Re: superhub 2

That's strange. Just had to reboot SH2 because network went all sluggish. I couldn't access files on NAS devices. Having rebooted through GUI all is OK again.

No, but blocking it with a giant 40" metal sheet designed specifically to block EM radiation is not going to help.

Nice.

That's a pretty decent improvement, though if those settings actually stick it's breaking regulations again.

All the channels 100 and up use DFS - there's a message while it checks for radar installations. I'm just trying ch. 136+132 to see how it goes.

As far as wireless signal goes, standing up is superior to flat.
Qas any proof?

My 2 worse wifi routers happen to be VM superhub and BT homehub3, is it not coincidence they both stand up with lack of external antennaes?

A flat router with external antennaes is superior. But both BT and VM going for cosmetics. Although it seems VM have at least done some work on the superhub2 wifi performance.

My Asus RT-N56U stands upright, internal antennae and gives more than adequate performance.

Cheers

When you first set it to anything but the auto modes it makes a song and dance about having to scan for nearby radar stations.

As are other ISP's their customer base is ignorant though and just plug and play so end up on the 2.4GHz band.

Of the 72 wireless connections I can pick up with a scan there's 1 on the 5GHz band.-ME!

All I know is that the wife doesn't complain anymore when trying to use the iPad in the kitchen with the microwave on.

The concurrent dual band works really well (worth £50?)
