Also, inter-twined in this is whether or not R37 can help wireless range. If the hardware design is poor or there are issues of the type that Qasi has described, then R37 won't help.
So we are on track.
BTW, to answer your question, although R37 is slated for XXL100 to come down today, 2 reboots later, not yet.

I am not saying this in a nasty way but the shortcomings of the shub have been done to death in numerous posts , no offence meant

Sure - I didn't take it as anything offensive. But the shortcomings of the SH are exactly what people hope R37 will resolve. Injecting reality into the discussion including even deeper insights as to how it works can only be helpful. Most people on here would agree with that.

If the SH2 is the Netgear CG4000TD then we hope, as I said, that lessons learned by VM will have been passed on to Netgear.
It'll soon be ripped open and a Qasi judgement provided on top of exepriments like I'll do with wireless range versus the Airport Extreme.
The Netgear forn factor usually remains constant. I think I read somewhere that the CG3101D non-VM version has three postage stamps instead of the 2two in the SH. If the CG4000 is el-cheapo'd by VM then I expect more fun and games in the forums. As I say, if lessons are learned and a world class product arrives, then hats off and the forums will be short of material!!

Re: Firmware R37
I can't find any public info on the CG4000 yet, but if it is simultaneous dual-band with internal antennas, it'll likely have 5.
No idea about the CG3101D but the VMDG480's wireless chip (and consequently, number of "postage stamps") is modular and can be changed by the purchaser (i.e. VM).
Anyhow I do hope the simulations for the antenna are off, because if so, pretty much all other problems can be fixed with firmware (or as Seph says, hanging it upside down off the ceiling in the middle of the room).
If they are accurate, then the only way they can ever fix it firmware wise is to get DFS working and you to run all your networks at 5.7Ghz... Right now the SH firmware only supports 4 channels at 5Ghz, out of 24 (presumably because the firmware is incapable of DFS, which is disappointingly common these days)

What are you hoping to get out of R37? What issue do you hope it will resolve?

Re: Firmware R37
if S5 is 5mbit, M10 is 10mbit and M20 is 20mbit, wtf is M? Before they do anything else I think they should clean up the tiers.
