v+ HDMI Issue - Techs unable to fix!!!

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help - for last 18 months or more I've had a Samsung v+ hooked up to an old Pioneer Plasma with an HDMI cable - HD on 720 Wide working no problem on Sat - Got Up Sunday morning - no picture (channel number showing on box)

On reeboot - see the Please Wait on screen ok (can only be via HDMI) then same again - no picture.

2 Techs out today replicated the problem with another v+.
ONly way they could get a picture back was by hooking the v+ up to another tv and setting it back to scart.

The HDMI on the plasma is working fine, as I currenly have it hooked up to a macmini - picture fine.

Techs totally stumped - no idea - anyone else come across this - they are returning tomorrow with a TIVO to see if the same thing happens - don't really want to pay the extra for a TIVO when it's not my fault - Any pointer to a potential fix would be gratefully appreciated

Do the menus display when you press the Home button? If so, it's definitely an HDCP failure. In that case, TiVo won't work either.

Do you have any iTunes TV or movie purchases? If they play your HDCP on the TV is fine.

If you haven't asked for a Tivo box you shouldn't have to pay any extra for it

Whenever I reboot my Samsung V+ box and the TV is on it shows 'Your Digital TV Service Will Start Shortly' then as it loads further displays 'No video available' and I have to turn the TV off and back on to get the picture back

Get the same with one of my TV's. I Just go to another source (eg. Freeview) & then back again, & it starts working.
