You start Year 7 at age 11.

I think it's more common sense than "US BS" to be honest.
Don't you start Infant School at age 5? So that's Year 1 then.
So hardly "BS"

IT'S US BS.
When I went to school there was Infants, Juniors, Secondary the lather split in to years 1 to 5.
Now we have to copy the US system why?

Re: ******* Kids Bully Woman on bus
We're not copying anything.
In "infants school" you're ages 5-10, Years 1-6
In "junior school" you're ages 11-16, Years 7-12
It is simply another way to describe the same thing.
I know what you mean and I get your point, but it's not "BS" just "different".
