Kinda angry right now
Got a new TV for xmas, so I decided to dig out the VM tv decoder box out of the cupboard where its been for the past 7 or 8 months, as I don't really watch TV...
Connected it all up, and... Error 3014. A bit of Googling seems to suggest that 3014 means VM have deactivated my smartcard even though I'm still a subscriber.
Icredibly angry about it really. Even if Im not activly using a service, I should be able to get that service as long as I am subscribed to it, and my bills are current (which they are). Virgin had no right AT ALL to deactivate my service (well theres probably something in the legalese that says they have every right, but Im sure you know where Im coming from).

Re: Kinda angry right now
You moan at them yet have you actually rang them up? It could be a simple mistake or a simple fault..

I think it happens if the network does not see the box for an extended time. Probably needs a re hit.

That's exactly what the problem is. It should get fixed automatically in a few hours, or if you speak to faults they can send the hit manually.

I think they are open every day.
Thinking about it, you may even be able to fix this yourself with Fix It Assistant in the menus. Press Home-9-2-9-1

Re: Kinda angry right now
All fixed now, thanks, I did phone them up, and they were indeed open. They fixed the issue over the phone by "sending some signals to your box."
And Merry Christmas one and all.

I hope that you were only angry with yourself as the STB was in the cupboard until today.
