Re: Upgrade from 50mb to 100mb
So I'm on 50mb with a VNMG300 using an airport extreme and express, all works well, lovely jubly...
Don't want a super hub but would like to go 100mb. I know I Can order on line for free but how do I go about sorting it so as to keep the VNMG300. Do I email Neil Birkett, call ??? I Have read through this thread but not 100% on how to achieve this...

Re: Upgrade from 50mb to 100mb
Been waiting a long time for my area to get 100mb (Chesham,Bucks) but even know on the site area where it says check when it will be available, Chesham isnt on there, but Amersham is?
Does that mean Chesham is also available? If I goto try and upgrade through the website itself, I dont have the option, only upto 50mb
If I ring up do you think I will still get the free activation etc?
---------- Post added at 12:09 ---------- Previous post was at 11:09 ----------
No worries, I just rang up and got it over the phone, no activation fee set up etc, and will only cost me around another £7-8 a month extra on top!

Well rang tonight, basically got nowhere spoke to cancellations as well. Could not even do the free upgrade 50-100mb. Said it would be another £13 a month and was no help whatsoever in keeping the VNMG300.
I have booked online for the free upgrade and will try to contact again tomorrow regarding keeping the VNMG300. Failing that will email Mr Birkett, there is no way the engineer will be leaving with my existing modem. Would rather stay on the 50mb...
Ended up going for the smaller TiVo on the call, moving existing V+ to another room. Install was free could not get without paying the £50 though. Nothing extra a month, which was the clincher for me...

Re: Upgrade from 50mb to 100mb
If the engineer needs to take a modem back with him I have an original ntl 3Com CMX cable modem in a cupboard which I will gladly give him if I can keep the VMNG300...

Re: Upgrade from 50mb to 100mb
Well so far for me it has been terrible. Am getting about 64mb down and barely 1.5mb upload, no that isn't a typo on my upload speeds. Had engineer around twice now, rang them up a few times and they have no idea what is going on. Other day was told something about how the Motorolla equipment is playing up and they are looking for a fix. The engineer who came wasn't even sure if my area has become 100mb which is odd as why the hell would they sell me this product otherwise? Doesn't explain how the hell my upload has gone down from 5mb to 1.5 though and that is all they can offer me right now as far as an explanation goes... So far not so great for me.....

Yes I am, I am trying to get hold of a VMGN300 (I wasn't home when they came to fit 100mb so they took my old one away) in the hope it will help but I've got a feeling it more of a network issue.
