iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
Can someone else with an iPad or iPhone try this for me please.
I can't seem to log on with my iPad onto my account.
When I click on the drop down menu to select 'virgin.net' there is a pop up but it just goes away again.
I suspect it may be just the way safari on the iPad handles the page but I would like to be able to log on with it when I'm out and about.

Re: iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
It should just work, now the obvious question is are you choosing virgin.net from the drop down and you do actually know your password as is not just saved on your home computer.
Surprising how many people have it saved but actually forget it.

Re: iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
Sorry I'm not being clear.
I can't choose anything as the drop down menu pops up then goes straight away.
If I do it on the pc I can choose virgin.net and put in my user name and password no problem.
edit - I can't even get the popup to stay on long enough to get a screen shot.

Re: iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
Try putting in the browser address bar > mail.virgin.net see if that works any better.
Or click this https://identity.virginmedia.com/vm_...ltmplcache%3D2

Re: iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
That logged me into my email which is great
Is there an address that I can use to access my account details like that?

Try this one which has all 4 email domains in the drop down list.
https://identity.virginmedia.com/vm_...ashboard/start
Try Xmarks which remembers your login details all you do is choose the correct domain
http://download.xmarks.com/download/macosx_10_6

I have the same problem on iPad , do eventually manage to log in but have to have super fast fingers. Bit of a bug on ipad because the keyboard pops up for you to type it in even though it's a drop down box .

Re: iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
Same here, I just assumed it was the way Safari rendered the page and the way the iPad sometimes seems to have issues with drop down boxes.

You may be able to install Firefox if you jailbreak your iPad.

Re: iPad (Logging onto virgin site) problem
I wonder if it's worth emailing VM's tech support and asking them?
I wouldn't thikn the iPad has a 'supported' browser if that's the right term?
I may well try tomorrow when I get back from the hospital.
Masque - your help is invaluable cheers

An email would be better than calling as some would think you were a witch with your iPad and want to put you on a ducking stool.

I hate Safari on my iPod Touch due to similar issues, so I downloaded the Opera App and when surfing with that I have a lot less issues, so that might be the way to work around it...
