not sluggish like the reports I read on it, does have one bug I have noticed. It sticks sometimes after going into the guide if you press to many buttons in guide.
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to post your experience.

Not sure if its XL customers who are, but is more likely to be those on Triple XL/XL+ packages if so.

Re: TiVo

I would love to get Tivo fed up with my very slow SA box
that keeps on freezing & have the money waiting to give virgin,

Im on XL TV, XXL Broard, L Phone,
I give virgin nearly £100 a month but still no phone call,

And I registered my interest on the Tivo website the day it went live
if I dont get a call soon then maybe back to Sky as I can't live
with my SA box any longer,

Please call Tivo team............

Re: TiVo

Get the SA box swapped out as it will cost you nothing while you wait for Tivo (I am as well).

I have a SA V+ box and it works fine and performs well. Just recently though they have been doing some work on VOD and I have noticed the occasional day when it has been slow on the EPG, but apart from that it works well.

Anyway, you can't be serious surely! Giving up the chance of the "great Tivo" to move to Sky!

Re: TiVo

Or arrange an engineer visit then, I found out my signal frequencies were wrong once and wasn't even aware of it, caused by a previous patch update which did cause this on some SA boxes. From memory, the frequencies were aligned with Birmingham and were slightly different to Nottingham where I am.

Re: TiVo

Its getting very dificult to understand VM's stratedgy on the tivo rollout now ... assuming all those posting are real honest people ..

s1 tivo owners got deal of £149 ... lucky lotto 1000 got free remote and free box/install lifetime tivo sub ... then some xl tv (non VIP) & VIP were offered the £149 and now appears some who didnt get the remote on the 1 in 1000 and are not VIP are being offered a free box ( they didnt detail if lifetime sub as well )

and then again there are long serving (10 years plus customers) and shorter VIP customers (like myself on VIP for about 4 years) who havent had any contact at all ..... and that doesnt include the fact some people are getting the tivo/sales contacting them on multiple times even if they had already placed the order and booked a date.....

this is why some people get frustrated with VM and their lack of communication and their apparent lack of organisation

All IMHO and i repeat im not even gonna have tivo if i have to pay for it so im not jealous of those getting chosen at this stage just pointing out the facts as i have understood them

Re: TiVo

The funny thing is Ive been with virgin for many years
way back when they where cable london then telewest
and whenever I have registered a interest in a new
product I have never had a call back !

I have given up swapping out my SA boxes I had 4 in 6 months!

Can anyone comment on the picture quilty with the Tivo box
& is the box noisy & do you think it's worth the money?

Thanks..

Is this purely for S1 users to use? I haven't registered on this form as I don't think I am eligible.

That is just for all the S1 users out there so not worth clicking on it otherwise.

Fair enough. Thought I would ask though as I would register on it if I thought it would make any difference!

I shall continue to wait.....

It's not difficult to understand at all. There was a post in this thread copied from the community thread that said what was happening. That coupled with the fact that TiVo is still in a pre release state and they are getting in contact with as many people as possible to book installs says to me that VM are doing their best to get TiVo to as many customers as they can. some people in here think that because they pay xx amount or have been a customer for xx years means they should be at the front of the queue.

They have only been calling customers for a about a week and a half as well.

Also it clearly states in the letter that got sent with the remotes to the 1000 that they are getting the boxes early as part of a pre launch special offer. So until it fully launches I think people need to calm down a bit and stop moaning at Virgin.
