You really ought to check your facts before posting. From the link provided by martyh in post 1238:

He acquired British citizenship following three years of marriage...
|
Also, you posted "his Egyptian citizenship was revoked". So, do you think he is an Egyptian citizen, or not?

I think you'll find that foreigners are often deported when they commit crimes in a host country, or have you not noticed this?
Abu Hamza is an Egyptian, therefore he should be deported. If he commits a serious offense whilst in the UK, then he should be deported after he's finished his sentence. That is, assuming the authorities will stand up to the PC brigade and risk being branded "racist" if they sentence him in accordance with UK law.
This has been a rather educational dialogue, since I never realised there was anyone outside of the government who thought the hook cleric was being swiftly dealt with in heavy handed fashion.
I assume you don't work for the government, or do you ?
I think the government has been so complacent in its dealing with this deplorable individual, that they've allowed him to succeed in making a complete mockery of our country and justice system, to the amusement of the French and utter amazement of the remaining civilised world. Everyone knows what this guy has preached and what he thinks of us, yet we are so incumbent that even after all these years we have yet to rid our soil of this wretched affliction.
The red tape that prevents us from seeing to it that common sense prevails, is entirely of our own making.
|
Certainly is educational, reading you trying to smear those who disagree with you.....
Nobody has posted (except you stating that you think others have) that AH was dealt with in a heavy-handed manner - what they stated was he was dealt with the same way as any other resident of the UK.
Re the "working for the government" jibe - I assume you don't work for the BNP, or do you?

That is exactly my point. As I mentioned just a short while ago, the reason we can't deport him is due to his human rights (he has no home country as his Egyptian citizenship has been revoked, according to the ECHR). This is because we come under the jurisdiction of the ECHR.
We gave away our sovereignty; it wasn't taken by force.
Therefore the way I see it, the status quo is of our own making.
We're reaping the seeds we've sown.
Mind you, we never had a referendum on the EU so I don't believe it's entirely fair to blame the British people for this situation. Given the rather limited democracy that we have.
However, we could shout a bit louder when the government's actions go against what is publicly perceived be for the better good of the country.

Except for the referendum in 1975....

Now who's trying to smear? Ah, the old "If he's not one of us, he's one of them jibe. "
My earlier comment is fair, noone (but a tiny minority, mostly within the governement) believes the hook cleric situation has been properly dealt with.

Re: Students Rioting in London.
No, I was pointing out that it works both ways - or do you think it's ok for you to make accusations, and not others?

I think its quite preposterous that the discussion could be hijacked by any defense whatsoever, of that decrepit individual, even if it did mean that Sparkle was to stand corrected in that a little more than nothing was being done about Abu-Hamza.
Really, who cares if a little more than "nothing" is being done. Its irrelevant, t'is it not? The handling of that case was/is utterly shambolic !

he got 7 years ,his sentance has finished but he is being held on remand pending extradition to the usa where no doubt he will be serving more time
and by the way all his assets have been liquidised to recover the costs of his defence as per Lord justice Hughes order in 2007 so i think he has been dealt with

Good, one down - another few thousand to go.
If it were up to me I'd have unleashed the water cannon and rubber batons on the lot of them.
If only we could build 50,000 tonne displacement, double-decker banana boats.

I thought they had allowed it because he won't be charged on capital crimes and they agreed to not to send him to a supermax prison and the only remaining obstacle was his citizenship case which was resolved in november

Its tongue in cheek, don't read too much into it.
By them, I'm referring to the minority of whom we invite into our country with the promise of a better life, but yet seem to hate us so much.

I never said he was an illegal, I know he was given UK citizenship, but he was originally from Egypt. The fact that such a vile individual can be granted UK citizenship, only sanctifies the notion that the whole immigration system here is shambolic and in need of rethinking.

It has nothing to do with immigration ,he wasn't an immigrant as such he was one of those students you love so much studying engineering i believe and got his uk passport by virtue of his marriage when he was a bouncer in a club and before he started preaching ,so that had no bearing on his citizenship
