Students Rioting in London.

Quote:

Students protesting about a planned rise in university fees have smashed windows and started a fire at Millbank Tower in central London.

An estimated 30,000 students from towns and cities across the UK have travelled to the capital for the rally which was organised by the National Union of Students (NUS) and University and College Union (UCU). Speaking from the scene, Sky News' senior correspondent Michelle Clifford said the police were not present in large numbers when the violence broke out among some of the students adjacent to the Conservative Party headquarters.
"It's actually turned pretty violent, a few hundred protestors stormed into Millbank Tower.
"It was all peaceful - they were just shouting but now there are hundreds outside, smashing the windows, big eight foot windows of the tower have been smashed, there's glass flying everywhere," she said.
There was Police Medic forcing people back and a regular officer had to tell him to stop it :)

What we are doing to our young people is unforgiveable.

If you are referring to tuition fee's, then many will agree....but rioting and civil disorder does not make that right.

A peaceful well managed march is perfectly acceptable, and will do much to bolster the students argument.

 Whilst the levels of fees might be up for debate the actual concept of them is fine with me. If someone wants to obtain a decent education then having to pay for it after they graduate doesn't bother me in the slightest.

And as for the idiots who have rioted, hopefully the criminal convictions they get knacker any chances they have of a well paid job in the future.

Protesters have broken into the building housing the Conservative Party headquarters in Westminster.

They have set fire to placards outside.

Student leaders condemned the latest action as "despicable". They say about 30,000 people took part in a march earlier.
However rioting Smashing windows and attacking the police is as well. I hope any arrested and put before the judge have the book thrown at them.
