I definitely want a tablet, that Archos looks quite nice.

But it also looks like there are a few others coming towards the end of the year, so I think I'll get a kindle now while I wait

You can also send webpages direct to your Kindle at http://rekindle.it too (not my site, mine's in my sig).

It's a browser toolbar widget that when installed will send the current webpage directly to your Kindle in the Kindle format. It's free too, which is always good.

Re: The Amazon Kindle Thread

Mine came via citylink and I had to sign for it

First signs are good that I can indeed actually read it whrn I turn the font size up

Fingers crossed, just charging it now.

I've read quite a few horror stories about this in the last couple of weeks. It's just as well I managed to catch my postman who delivered mine at 7am. My front door opens out directly onto the pavement and I never use the front door for entering or leaving the house. I've had catalogues sit out there for days without noticing. I doubt a Kindle would have stayed there long.

Re: The Amazon Kindle Thread

I wonder why everyone else's came via CityLink and mine came via RM. I didn't see who dropped it off of course but clearly says RM in the email.

Amazon.co.uk items (Sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.L.):

1 Kindle 3G Wireless Reading... £149.00 1 £149.00

Dispatched via Royal Mail (estimated arrival date: September 24, 2010).
I did pay for delivery but so did you Dilli? Maybe it's a regional thing.

Mine was one of the first batch, two friends ordered at the same time and all three came via City Link even though none of us paid postage.
