Re: The Amazon Kindle Thread
The Kindle I ordered for my wife's Christmas turned up last week in a box branded 'Kindle'. Guess who signed for it....
So thanks to Amazon's 'thoughtful' packaging, she now has her Kindle as opposed to me stashing it for Christmas.
Thank you Amazon. Grrrr....

Re: The Amazon Kindle Thread
Least she can enjoy it now. Better than sitting in a box for 3 months.
My date has been bumped up. Was the 29th, now dispatching soon, estimated for the 24th.

Re: The Amazon Kindle Thread
The idea is nice, however I am not sure if I am keen on seeing Amazon Kindle right below the page I would be reading. Maybe this is me being pedantic and it probably does not distract. However wouldn't it have been better on the back, like how Apple but their logo on the back? It is not like you do not know what make and model it is.

yeah various people have complained that theirs have got 'lost' in transit, they send out one of the most sought after devices - in a box marked 'steal me' and then wonder why they don't always make it there

Pah, I guess I'll be keeping an eye on my order status..... You'd still better not get yours first
By the way, do we get a power adaptor with it?

Yes, there is a three pin mains plug with a USB socket on it. You also get the required USB to mini USB cable.

It is actually above the reading screen in exactly the same place as the Sony Reader, so does this mean that you will only buy devices with no logo on the screen as you may inadvertently keep reading the words Sony as well, now that is a very poor reason and makes no sense at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get yours soon. Mine changed without any notice. It us now dispatched. Wish I went super saver now as it sounds like I will get it in the same time anyway.
DektaWhiskey/Acathla - is the box small enough to fit through a standard letterbox?

Too big for a standard letterbox it's: 8inch wide x 9.5inch long x 3inch deep. Also it was delivered by City Link, so had to be signed for.
