Â£10 per box is poor value compared to Sky. Even Â£7 is poor value.

Sky: Â£10 per box and you (currently) get 40+ HD channels, regardless of what packs you have.

VM: Â£10 per box and for say, Sports fans, you get.....2 HD Channels.

Â£10 for 40 HD channels compared to Â£10 for 2 Sports Channels (I don't care about movies)

Lets just hope this is only a rumour, I like Virgin despite being lied too pretty bad when our 12 month contract was up, but this truely would end it for me.

The simple reason, Why Pay More For Less.

That might be what the channels are worth to you but If Sky are charging VM something like Â£7 per month for them then they would very quickly go bust charging those prices.

If it is a per box thing then I would assume you would get to choose which box(es) receives the HD variants of the Sky channels and only have to pay for the ones that do.

It's Â£7 per box. Phoned virgin and bluffed that I thought HD was available now. Customer service said that date was not confirmed as they didn't have the codes as yet but it would be Â£7 per box

Right, let me put it this way, VM have just sold their wholly owned channels to Sky now in order to allow Sky to buy the channels then I'm sure that all carriage negotiations would have to have ensured that VM get access to the Sky HD variants for a fair price otherwise they could say, sack it, you're not having our channels. I would wait until there has been an official announcement before getting all angry about the pricing which is rumoured to be true.
