Re: Itchy Scalp.
Having very short hair I wash it at least once everyday when I shower and have done so for years. I can't remember when I last had an itchy scalp until I reads this thread and now I can't stop scratching.

Re: Itchy Scalp.
There are some medications that can cause rashes and itching.
I never had a itchy head until I started using the Qvar inaler, I kep telling my doc that it was Qvar that was causing it, but he wouldn't believe me. I got so fed up with it that I stopped using it for 2 weeks and finally the itching stopped. I went back to see the doc and told him what I had done, I now have a replacement for the Qvar and not had an itch since.

Re: Itchy Scalp.
I bet you had slight sun burn on your head with all this nice sun we have been having.
Flaky skin will make it itch.
Tip for itchy heads, rub some baby oil in to it.
A indian head massage is devine.

Im sorry Paul for replying to this..
I searched the bases first and this thread came up so it looked like the BEST one to add my reply to...
I have to be very careful what I eat.. Gellen Gum,Acadia Gum can make me itch like crazy..
Xantham Gum is the worst.. That crap can cause Flu like symptoms and it has!!
Why do they put this garbage in our food??
It really honestly seems like they wanna hurt people, make them feel crappy!!
Im itchy right now on my scalp and other places although I do have Psyorsis so sometimes that makes the itchiness worse... When i scratch it feels like bugs crawling on my skin!! (Its just dead skin however)
Reading thru this thread has helped some...

Maybe you drink too much chocolate milk, try water instead.
Xantham Gum is generally safe but just because the odd person may have an allergic reaction to it doesn't mean it's garbage, if that was the case all foods would be banned.

xanthan gum is often used in commercial chocolate milk and other dairy drinks to create a smoother, creamier texture, prevent ingredient separation (like cocoa settling), and stabilize the product
