Scabies has nothing to do with being a dirty git as far as i understand.
You`re just as likely, if not more so, to catch scabies if your an obsessive compulsive when it comes to staying clean. The mites apparently prefer a nice clean host in fact.

Re: Itchy Scalp.
You only get scabies in the folds of the body..eg genitals, toes, fingers buttocks, waist.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scabies
It could be anything.Go see the pharmacist or ask a friendly nurse you know to take a look to see if you need to visit the doctor.
Hopefully it's not ringworm..

Re: Itchy Scalp.
I have an itchy scalp too but i know it's because of the VO5 shampoo i'm using. I am too stingy to waste it though LOL. I love the Original Mint Source stuff but only buy it when it's on offer.
My hair hates me for having my baby, it's done nothing but fall out snce she was born. As if my hair wasn't thin enough
It could just be that your skin is dry on your head though.

Try Aqueous cream, use it as a shampoo when you wash your head, "DON'T" use shampoo at all. The cream is £3 for a great big tub which will last you ages. I suffered with an itchy scalp for years, I found the cream treatment out by accident and it worked. That was 10 years ago and I've been itch free ever since.
Shampoo dries out your scalp making people itch, your scalp needs moisturising. Shampoo takes away all the essential oils from your scalp.

Daughter & I have the same problem. Wash 1st with the VO5 then 2nd wash with Anti-Dandruff, seems to help with the itching.

Re: Itchy Scalp.
sumtimes suffer from itchy flaky scalp the best shampoo to use for this is one from the chemist called polytar - it does stimk but it does work as it contains coal tar which is very good for itchy scalps

A good old fashioned method for getting your scalp sorted would be to call on one of these guys

I use that cream for washing as I have a skin prob and also use if for moistering and it's the best thing ever but never knew you could use it as shampoo as well.

Re: Itchy Scalp.
It could be that iFrankie is washing his hair too often..that doesn't help again because it strips out the natural oils that keep the skin and hair healthy.

Re: Itchy Scalp.
The fact that the OP hasn't been back since Saturday may be significant.
I hope it's not too serious.
