V+ box is slow is this normal?
I got the V+ box about 4 months ago replacing a Topfield PVR, which was fine but I live in an area where the digi signal is poor so I got the V+ box expecting it to at least be as good.
What I mean is......
Press guide, after a delay it opens go into any other menu and at best there is a slight pause at worse you have to wait upto 10-15 seconds for it to catch up. Annoying when you are used to an instant service.
I also used a Sky + box at a friends which was much quicker. If this is normal then i will have to consider cancelling the box and finding another solution because it's very painfull.
If it's a hardware issue then I recommend improving your boxes as many people will be annoyed like me. Especially as competitors are better and even independants provide better hardware. I could also build a media pc for peanuts that would outclass the V+ box.

My SA V+ box isn't anywhere near as slow as yours. I only get a slight delay going through menus. The new Samsung V+ is supposed to be faster, never used one myself so I wouldn't know.

That's not normal. Report it to Virgin and get it fixed.

If you've tried a full reboot by unplugging the power for 10 seconds and reconnecting (allow 3 mins for the box to fully load all settings) and this still continues, then you need to call Support on 151 on a Virgin Media 'phone or 0845 454 1111 from an non-VM line
 by the way
