Is this correct...

Hi There. Could someone comment on the below charges cut n pasted from my bill? Seems to me I'm paying £4 too much (and being unemployed this matters)
All I get from billing is that its correct and (like other postings here) cannot point me to a straight list of tarrifs. Thanks

Line Rental 20 October - 19 November £11.00
Talk Evening And Weekends 20 October - 19 November £3.45
Phone & BB Bundle Saving 20 October - 19 November £-8.00
Broadband Size: X L 20 October - 19 November £37.00

ebilling and paying by DD

Re: Is this correct...

looks to me like you are overpaying for you broadband. Current pricing is £20 for XL £11 for phone line and your £3.45 . It will be billed differently with discounts as for some reason VM do not bill the prices. It looks like you are paying £29 for XL BB and 50 meg is only £28 after the bullplop discounts. May be worth going for a new package as you can have M tv free

yep M tv is free, but you could get XXL broadband and XL tv and XL phone for just £61.50 if you pay by paypoint it would cost you a monthly charge of £66.50 because of there payment handling charge, or if you want XXL BB and M tv and XL phone it would cost £51.50 per month paying by direct debit, if your not paying by direct debit then you would have the payment handling charge of £5 include which would be £56.50 per month, hope this helps.

Thanks Zing. I'll call billing again and see if I can twist their arm...though I dont rate my chances they seem very certain of their charges...
Is there a form of words I could try anyone?

you ripping me off stop it or im leaving lol

If you are prepared to take a 12 month contract I would say that you want the M TV added even if you do not want it that should bring you down to the current prices.

neilboardman, just what relevance does your post have to the OP who has CLEARLY stated that low price is his priority, given that he is unemployed?

Wheeeee done it ...
Went to billing first of all got the run around again (they offered xxl for a pound less than I am paying with £30 'installation', then xxl for a pound off no installation) tempting but...
Called disconnections and put it to them I wanted what they are advertising on the internet £20 XL + £11 phone ... and thats what I now have

Thank you all for your help and advice

Hi zing
Umm do you know I dont know! But I doubt I shall be moving in the next few years...
Oddly I had a call from a nice chap in customer services just a few moments ago who said that the offer I now have was the offer he would have given me !
One outstanding point is that I am now paying £3.45 just for free weekday evening calls as the weekend calls are inclusive. I can either cancel that option or go for the £7.50 anytime option. (Or stay as I am)

I did make a comment about 0845 calls being free on BT - If I read what CS said correctly this will change.
