Odd that they don't seem willing to admit who those other ISPs are. I say it's odd, because they were quite open about partnering with VM, BT and CPW. It could just be that they've learned from their mistakes though.

Yes that could well be an explanation but it begs the question of why.

Either a site requires registration or it doesn't unless, of course, if an article proves to be so popular that charging for access to it becomes possible. But then why relax the registration necessity after only a few minutes?

I wondered if it had anything to do with where you were linking from. But even so, why the limitation?

Actually what I meant was that maybe a few people are allowed to read the link, then after that, others need to register.

Actually, just re-read their registration text. Looks like I got it wrong. The link is personalised. The site allows each person to read so many articles (or the same one so many times) per month before requiring registration.

Basic registration is free, but limits you to ten articles a month. Any more than that and you pay..

However, this is off topic.

Which is good news. At very least they should have taken some care and acquired appropriate legal opinions on what they were doing, that they didn't is a disgrace.

The executive responsible for it all, the man in charge of BT Retail at the time, is now the CEO of the entire group so no worries about finding the appropriate person

So far they have lost $100 million though, although they are getting good (for them) results from their only current trial, with a Brazillian ISP as more people opted in than they expected.

no one seems cared that the son of phorm is just around the corner "DETICA" and VM have said they WILL be using it and that they will not say where.
