I had a similar problem, wanted to increase my L BB to XL BB and after reading the bit on VM's site about existing customers being treated the same as new used the bundle builder to work out the price. Then phoned to arrange this to be told NO!!!! I was then put through to customer retentions who gave me what I wanted for the price on the bundle builder. I wasn't looking for any special deal or price just wanted what has been advertised, why can't CS be allowed to offer what they advertise?

she also stated that the price of upgrading to XXL depended on, and i quote"the discounts available on my account"which she has no control over
As I pointed out earlier because you have an extra STB and don't pay via Direct Debit it would cost an extra £10 so £76 a month.

Quote:
she is putting a note on my account to say i am unhappy at not being able to get XXL BB for £28 pm as advertised on the website
The following is worked out on the £28 price:

BB XXL £28
Phoneline £11
TV XL £21.50
Talk Unlimted £7.95
=£68.45

Extra Box £5
Non DD Charge £5
=£78.45

So if you get it for £76 (or £66 without the extra box/Non-DD) you are getting an extra £2.45 a month off the price

Quote:
why i couldn't get my deal for £55 as quoted on 'build a bundle'(xxlbb, xltv, xlphone)
1) You have to add £11 onto any price on the website as it excludes line rental (£55* *When you take a Virgin Phone Line for £11 a month) - so that price is £66

2) See above. I also did explain it in the post

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/34866536-post76.html

Quote:
XXL Broadband, XL tv and XL Phone is £66
+ £5 Non-DD
+£5 Extra STB
=£76

£76 New service - £68 Existing service = £8 extra

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month

sorry ben ,my apologies forgot to mention the extra stb is to be taken off the contract (told the lady but forgot to mention to you )
so it would appear(in a roundabout way) that it would be beneficial for me to keep the extra stb or i will lose the discount that goes with it which was part of the deal at the time for the v+ box which i would now be paying more for if i lose the extra stb and enter a new deal for the XXL BB
if that makes any sense ....i think i know what i mean

ps sorry for being snotty

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month

You should be able to remove the extra STB without it affecting the rest of the services

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month

Hmm, it shouldn't be let you do that. The 3 month offer definately isn't avaliable with the TV

In fact I can't even make the website do that. Every time I add the TV onto BB XXL (or add BB XXL onto the TV) it gets rid of the 3 month discount

Has anyone tried using Quidco with the current offers?

yea since i had that it has not let me do the same again always adds when you put tv on i did think they had sorted out the system so they can put more than one offer in at a time as the offers for 3months and a ongoing offer for free tv imo should not be in the same sort of offer type

well just what i think

but that is what i had when it went in
