Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
lightning89 could you post your modem config? Someone on here could then tell you if there is a problem if your modem has accepted the update. Some modems are refusing the new config files. My dad's surfboard did this. If this is the case faults are really good at sorting this out.

Thanks again.

Installed my Ambit 256 this morning and this is result:
Hopefully this result will be maintained

Well, they said it would take up to five working days, it's now the fifth day and no modem. So I rang again today, and they said that the modem would be with me by 8pm this evening. When I asked how it was being sent, he said by regular post, and when I mentioned that my next delivery was tomorrow morning, he just repeeated that I would get it by 8pm this evening. How can they do that

When I received my new modem (a few months back) it was delivered, as I had been led to expect, by UPS. It was my understanding that VM use UPS for all deliveries of modems and, as might reasonably be expected, a signature is required.
I do not know, however, if UPS do deliveries at eight o'clock at night.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
Well that's what the man from Mumbai Calling said, now I've got another ten minutes to wait.
---------- Post added at 20:27 ---------- Previous post was at 19:48 ----------
Well, as expected, it didn't turn up. So, another twenty minutes of listening to mind numbing music and they have now said they will send another one within three days. Here's hoping. Can anyone from VM speed this up for me if I pm my account number please? Im not very au fait with the newsgroups. Thank you.

Downstream Frequency : 586750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM64
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : -8.8 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 35.0 dB
Upstream Lock : Locked

Also your network icon (next to the clock on the taskbar). Double click on it, what speed does it say you are?
