Re: Speed
Lol, alright dude.
How far is your contract? If it's past 1 month then you can't stop the service until a full year.
EDIT: Although, i think sky would be a better choice. Then again, Virgin might fix all their problems and become the best.
OR
Go the other way, and fail Britain for years.

Re: Speed
kingabs, are you on 20Mb/s?
If you are, that speed is fine (2.25MB/s x 8 = 18Mb/s)

Re: Speed
kingabs, are you still unhappy with this speed?
2.33 MB/sec = 2.33X8= 18.64Mb/sec
It means you are getting almost 19 meg of download speed.

Tough decisions in life eh......you must really be pulling your hair out
Attachment 15939
My latest shot of DownThem All seemed kinda confused but it was bouncing between 15Mb to a hell of a lot more than it should have been.
Either way though even 8Mb....never mind 18Mb is more than enough in reality.
Unless their trying download teh whole interweb course
After the first 4/5 months of extremely sub-standard 20Mb we`re now more than happy with the 18Mb+ we`ve had this last 4 months now.
Between myself and the kids with all their pc`s,(ahem)playstations, psp`s,DS`s,Wii`s and god know what other bandwidth consuming gadgets they all have i`m sure
we`ll find a use for all those excess Megabits yet.
Mabey i`ll just become one of them PC gamers now
Get me one of those alternative OS`s and try hammer that bandwidth we have far too much off,for any home user/s!!......
...........>easy boys easy now!!<

HEhe, i think he's trying to show you that his connection is more than fast enough, yet at the same time his speedtests are rather inaccurate

Lucky???.....I have to live doon in London now-a-days,whats lucky aboot that?
Just joking,i am indeed a lucky guy but it`s nothing whatsoever to do with any excess Megabits.More to do with all the excess hormones flying around,if the wife & daughters are all to be believed

I just thought we were getting toooo close to Kent
Of course, the Excess Megabits are indeed a big whopper but then the speedtests are rather inaccurate at the best of times anyway.
The test here though has never been too far off any download tests these last few months but i`d still never rely on it alone,or any other speedtest come to that.
Code:
Tue, 11 Mar 2008 10:17:08 GMT
Test 1: 1024K took 445 ms = 2301.1 KB/sec, approx 18961 Kbps, 18.52 Mbps
Test 2: 1024K took 385 ms = 2659.7 KB/sec, approx 21916 Kbps, 21.4 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 434 ms = 2359.4 KB/sec, approx 19441 Kbps, 18.99 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 964 ms = 2124.5 KB/sec, approx 17506 Kbps, 17.1 Mbps
Overall Average Speed = approx 19456 Kbps, 19 Mbps
