Re: burning audio cds

pedantic maybe but when someone says fit something to a car you think they actually mean fitted to the car not something thats added to a car and not actually made by those who make the car.

Don't give them ideas i do not fancy a bush car thanks

but its still largely down to the manufacturer of the car as to what the stereo is capable of, they may not make it but i bet they tell the people who do what they want.

Also if you want to go down that route the manufacturer of the car doesn't make quite a lot of the bits in it.
Sometime the whole engine is bought in from a different company.

It's a right royal pain. When I bought my present car the only option open to me other than the crap, default single shot CD player were an autochanger which consumed the whole glove box or the DVD satnav which cost the best part of 3 grand which would have pushed the cost of the car close to £30K

You can probably get a fascia adapter to fit an aftermarket unit but that's not the point. Manufacturers of so-called "premium" cars should stop taking the preverbial and start moving with the times.

They will say its to reduce theft.

But is it really necessary to code it to the car?

particularly when its a crappy vaxhuall cd player who in their right mind would wanna nick that anyway!

Then I turned the Zens volume down and it seemed ok (must have had it on a very high volume )

First impressions are that for 4quid its a worthwhile purchase

Now I wouldn't normally use it in my car since I have an Mp3 Cd unit with an AUX input anyway, I'll test it properly when I drive the van next.

Amazon insisted on sending a rather large box which was quite amusing when I opened it to find this small FM transmitter and even smaller ZEN stone

Re: burning audio cds

Used the FM transmitter today,in a vaxhaull combo with the cd30 they aren't all that good a lot of noise/interference usually a high pitched whistle that's evident whenever there's low level sound.

Sounded better when used with my Sony HU but then that has an Aux in so i don't need it in my own car.

Ok for 4quid but I would have been annoyed if i'd payed more for it.
