Retentions phone number/getting a new deal?

Could someone please give me the best number to use for retentions or whatever to try and get myself a good deal. I'm moving house in 3 weeks so it's a case of getting the best option for myself.

Moving home, you wont get any deal with them. They make you sign up to a whole new 12 month contract and treat you like a new customer im afraid.

I phoned retentions a few months ago. told them I was looking around and saw I could save money with sky.. thats it.

she went away and offered me 10meg broadband and unlimited calls (so XL phone and net) for £36 FOR LIFE! Bargain! Very happy VM customer here.

Thanks for that. Surely though even if I'm moving house and they treat me like a new customer some consideration will be given for last 4 years custom and the threat of me going to SKY or someone else?

How long do you think these 'FOR LIFE' prices will be valid for, before they say sorry we can't let you have it for that price anymore?
I estimate a month or two until they start the big shake up trying to get some order back into the company

When the prices of services go up, the 'FOR LIFE' prices will probably go up in line. So if TV costs an extra £1 per month I would expect to see the 'FOR LIFE' price to also go up by £1. It would be bad business not to....

I agree that it would be bad business not to, but I think it is bad business to have so much variations in what a customer pays from one to the next. most being for the same services provided to each.
There will come a time when there is a fixed price stated for such and such services, and only a small percentage of customers will that affect. all the others have it cheaper.
I think that sooner or later everyone will be brought back into line with the prices they pay.
