Re: What HD Channels Do You Actually Get?

Why on earth are the History channel etc not on NTL?

I can see why sky would keep "sky" sports and sky movies but the rest should be available.

You may find that Sky have insisted that they sign to sky exclusively for a certain period of time.

Also correct me if Im wrong but arent some movies etc broadcast in HD like Father of the Pride? Ive only had my TvDrive about a week and havent seen any HD content other than the HD preview channel.
I think they are still in negotiations with Sky and other channels.

Should the TVDrive set some sort of series recording flag to record episodes that will appear in forthcoming EPGs?

Cheers

That is where the series link obtainable through sky comes in to its own, if you want a particular series from episode 1 to whatever you just hit the series link button, as always you pay your money you get

The History Channel and National Geographic, as far as the UK is concerned, are controlled by Sky. So, don't expect to see these on cable any time soon unless a deal with Sky can be done.

Well, I set my TV Drive to record the whole series of Lost and Torchwood and it's always set itself for the episodes, even the ones not visible on the EPG.

A little insider information...
NTL aren't going to actively advertise the TvDrive or it's services until it's available to everyone (in other words bromley (not fair on them you see)) at the end of january, but when they do, they gonna advertise BIG!
