Human race to split into two sub-species

Great if you want a part in a Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter film!

Scientists believe that humans may evolve into 2 distinct sub-species by the year 3000. This will be due to our dependancy on technology. A bit like HG Wells' Time Machine where humanity had become either Eloi or Morlock.
Personally I'd be surprised if any humans will still be around by then.

On a more serious note, the guy is weird - to quote him

Personally, I think bushy eyebrows, a large nose and ears with copious amounts of hair growing out of them are more likely.

Would have thought technology would have made conventional sex obsolete by then, we'd be just taking pills and pressing hands together like in the film Barbarella.

Sounds a bit like my grandfather... except his hairless skin extended to the top of his head.

Ah then my favourite SF film Gattaca isn't so far off the mark then..

Mind I reckon the changes will take place quicker due to our manipulation of the human genome and that only the rich and wealthy of society will be able to afford the processes.That's where the underclass will begin.

Animals adapt for survivability factors, why man developed ingenious thought methods of using tools and why the Giraffe have big ******* necks for getting to beat the rest of the animals eating on the Savanna.

Anyway, on a side note, haven't women got bigger breasts in the short past because of drinking cows milk with bovine hormones in it?
