Re: Channel ReShuffle
Not necessary, Bengie.
On a lighter note, Channel Renumbering has been successfully completed in Langley and all customers who previously had BBC1 on 101 should have the new channel lineup, as shown at http://www.ntlworld.com/newchannelnumbers
If you do not have the new numbers, or your box is exhibiting strange behaviour, please change channels a few times, or failing this reboot it in the first instance.
If your channels appear in a strange order, you will need to reset your Favourites by following these steps:
- Press TV to bring up the Mini Guide
- Press Yellow to open the Favourites dialog
- Press Red to enter Rearrange Channels
- Press Red again to Restore default channel order (i.e., numerically ordered)
- Press Select to confirm
- Press TV to exit the menu and save the new lineup
It is expected that programme data will be slow to load in the Mini Guide and TV Guide for the next few hours, and you may experience a few seconds delay while changing channels. This is due to the amount of new data your STB is having to process at the moment and should settle down.
If the above does not resolve your problem, please call Faults on 0845 454 0000.
Bromley customers, keep watching out for new numbers - they're coming in the next few weeks!

Re: Channel ReShuffle
Is anybody elst experiencing 'issues' this morning? We've got a Pace box which has gone from slow to practically stationary after the channel reshuffle. The box is very unresponsive when changing channels, sometimes taking 30 seconds to do so! It was fine yesterday, so I'm assuming that the channel renumbering has got something to do with it. A reboot has made no difference.
EDIT:
OK post above answers that question - not there when I started posting. Thanks Quadplay.

Re: Channel ReShuffle
My 3 boxes changed this morning, a bit slow but it's there.
Now where are my favourite channels. (Search party on stand-by)

I'm curious -- what new data is being broadcast, and why?

Re: Channel ReShuffle
Channel renumbering in Glasgow has gone without a hitch. My Samsung box works great, just as fast as it was before. Im well pleased with the new numbers it's much easier to get around than before.. thanks NTL!

It's not so much "new", as changed!

They will probably look to tweak the SI table playout rates once the system has been proved to be working OK. This will mean looking at how quickly the boxes gather the data, and either slowing down or speeding up the repetition rates.

I notice no ETV - assume that has been done on purpose until everything settles down?

Re: Channel ReShuffle
A few people over of DS are reporting ITV1 missing from channel 103. Suggested your steps in post #91 to see if that makes any difference

Re: Channel ReShuffle
i've not got 103 - am watching it on the ad channel which is in the 700's somewhere... I suggest people buy some batteries for the remote this week! Lots of flicking to be done, omg this is going to take some getting used to.

Re: Channel ReShuffle
Does anyone else have a problem with going up in 100's with the page up and down?
as mine goes from 101-400 with just one press.
