Channel ReShuffle
 

Over on Digital Spy a thread has been started about a reshuffle of all the channels happening on September 6th - Link - http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/...d.php?t=452045

Surely this is a wind up, you would think they would have had a high profile campaign to let people know this well in advance, the call centres would go into meltdown if they did this unannounced.

Really can't see this happening on that date- as pointed out by the OP a change in channel numbers would be preceded with a high profile campaign, otherwise there would be lots of confused punters.

At the moment TW and the two NTL platforms have different numbers, so i would imagine that any renumbering would be done across all platforms at the same time.

It's not too hard though - Sky managed it recently with no real issues. :)

Something must be happening on the 6th September, I had a letter from Ideal World TV this morning and in it they state their channel no. from that date will be 747

There is probably just a couple of channels moving.

I hope it doesn't affect my favourites list. It took me about 2 hours to get that sorted. :shocked:

Your channel list should reset to numeric order when the numbers change.

It will, but not at the same time. Langley first, then Bromley. There's also some changes to the Knowsley (ex-Telewest) numbering.
