If you don't trust Opera Mini then try Opera Mobile as it renders on your device rather than through the remote Opera server as Mini does. Of course, you do lose the advantages a remote server brings but that's the trade off for total security - do it yourself.
I thought the only reason Opera Mini was approved by Apple was because it *didn't* render on the device, and hence Opera Mobile cannot and will not be available on iOS devices.

It's not available to try on the iPad. I'm not fussed about the speed just wish it worked with safari on here.
